Three persons recorded dead  in a fatal accident that happened on monday Night between a commercial bus and an Hilux truck in Awgbu, Orumba Local government Area, Anambra State, says Federal Road Safety Commission officials.
According to the FRSC sector commander  Mr. Sunday Ajayi, told pressmen that the accident was caused by over speeding and inappropriate overtaking on the road.

Ajayi made it known that the number of accident this year are much and calls for proper attention.

he also said there is need to orientate commercial bus drivers that the safety of the lives in the bus is their responsibility and that they should be cautious at all times also.

The Sector commandant also said that accident should have been minimal if people have using the Speed limiting Device introduced by the Federal government through FRSC. 

“The unfortunate accident at Awgbu occurred between 7.30 p.m. and 8 p.m. and from the information we gathered, it was caused by speeding and wrong overtaking.
“By our account, it was a multiple fatal accident involving a Toyota Hiace and Hilux truck; three people died on the spot, and those injured have been taken to hospital for treatment,” said Commandant
