An Ex-Minister of Aviation, Chief Osita Chidoka, has joined the race in the Anambra governorship election, slated for Nov. 18.

He told a consultative meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at Otuocha, close Awka on Monday that his craving to keep running for the position was to serve the general populace.

The previous Corps Marshal of the FRSC said he was prepared to serve his kin under any limit.

"I am prepared to serve the general population in any way even as a guide in light of the fact that no position is too little or huge for him the length of it is service to the general population.
"Since my youth service years, I have been included in volunteer service; so the driving thought process in this aspiration is to serve the general population of the state," 
Chidoka said.

As per him, time has come for PDP to assume power in Anambra.

He said that the issue of zoning, propounded by APGA would not be considered by PDP in fielding a competitor.

Likewise speaking, the PDP Chairman in the Local Government, Chief Thompson Chikezie, said that Chidoka's visit was to suggest to the general population of his craving to challenge the race.

"Chidoka's visit shows the kind of leader he will become if elected as governor. Any great leader trying to own public office ought to dependably take responsibility of the grassroots.

"It shows liberality, regard, love and earnestness.

"He is fearless for going to the Local Government of the incumbent governor."
