Manchester United Paul Pogba have suffered an injury scare ahead of the derby clash against Man City.

Paul Pogba missed United's first-team training session on Friday afternoon as Jose Mourinho's side prepared for their showdown at the Etihad.

Pogba trained on his own indoors at the club's Carrington training ground on Friday morning, raising concerns he could be a doubt for the match against City at the weekend.

United could already be without star striker Romelu Lukaku for the clash after Mourinho revealed the Belgian forward would undergo a late fitness test ahead of the game.

Speaking earlier on Friday, Mourinho played down any fresh injury concerns heading into the Premier League clash against City.

"From Juventus, we don't bring important injuries,' Mourinho said. "We have 'touches' but I don't think any player that was available for Juventus will be out.

"We have a chance that Lukaku could be back. He is training with the team this morning. If this answer is positive and we have, of course, one more session tomorrow, he's ready."

Pogba played a pivotal role for United last season when they fought from behind to win 3-2 at the Etihad.

United are looking to win back to back Premier League games at the stadium for just the second time, also doing so with wins in November 2008 and April 2010.
