A 22-year-old financier, Afolabi Sanusi, was yesterday charged under the steady gaze of an Ikeja justice's court in Lagos for purportedly redirecting cash into his darling's record.

Sanusi, an inhabitant of Ijora-Badia range of Lagos State, is confronting charges of break of the peace, preoccupation of store and taking. The prosecutor, Inspector Rita Momoh, said that the blamed submitted the offenses on January 18, at Ojuwoye, Mushin, Lagos.

She said that the denounced occupied N967,000, property of a bank in Mushin. "The accused, a staff of the bank, deceitfully changed over N967,000 to his own," Momoh said. She said that the charged acted in a way liable to bring about rupture of the peace by issuing fashioned stamped tellers to clients.

As per her, "the accused presented false deposit slips to bank customer in the wake of accepting cash from them and imagined that the slips were truly issued. "Amid investigations, it was found that the accused had been traferring and crediting the account, who was later found to be his lover.

"The woman was called and she affirmed that the accused used to credit her account." The accused, nonetheless, Pleaded not guilty of the charges and was granted bail of  N100,000 with two sureties in like sum. The officer, Mr. M. K. O. Fadeyin, adjourned the case till the 8th of March 2017.
