Crownhill University Ilorin 
The federal government yesterday gave it approval for eight universities in Nigeria. 

This is inline with a memo approved by National university Commission and passed on to the Federal Executive Council by the Ministry of Education.

The Eight Universities have been given approval considering the large number of Youths in our society of Today, Making sure everyone attends the university.


The eight universities are to be mentored by reputable federal universities which Unibadan, Unilag and Nnamdi Azikwe University.

This development has increase the number of Universities from 143 to 151, and private universities increased from 61 to 69

The eight universities will be mentored within the space of 3years by their mentors.

The 8 universities and their mentors includes:


  • Anchor University will be mentored by University of Lagos, Akoka;
  •  Arthur Jarvis University will be mentored by University of Calabar; 
  • Cliffored will be mentored by University of Agriculture, Umudike;
  •  Coal City University will be mentored by University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
  •  “Crown-Hill University will be mentored by University of Ilorin. Dominican University will be mentored by University of Ibadan. 
  •   Kola Daisi University will mentored by University of Ibadan. Legacy University will be mentored by Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.”
