The residents of Coker str, Ifako Ijaiye, LGA, Lagos. Filed out in their numbers to fight against the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company IKEDC for not giving them transformer since the government of Babatunde Raji Fashola, the community have held several meetings with the authorities of IKEDC but all to no avail.


The people layed their plight of having on/off time two days ON and one day OFF, in which is not helping their business, and it was due to the fact that the whole streets are sharing just one transformer, which isn't in good condition.


Mr James, one of the heads of IKEDC, Ifako ijaiye Zone who lived around the community saids he feels what they're feeling too, but patients is needed to get solution to the situation on ground, he pleaded with the resident to choose a date convenient for them to hold a meeting with their boss at the Ifako Town Hall, but the people refused the bidding. All the people of coker were panting for is a new transformer, adequate power supply and normal billing.

The people held the IKEDC workers down for about 6 good hours saying they won't leave them alone until their superior arrives the scene.
