The student of the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife have shown great displeasure to the silence of the President, PMB, as regards the reopening of their institution, some even termed it outright betrayal and a denial of their right to education.

The newly admitted students have stayed at home for over 10months and the returning students for over 3months.

The students rage commenced after the silence of Mohammodu Buhari after the  governing council of the institution was dissolved and the "failed" promise to appoint a new governing council as the verdict used in the appointment of the New Vice Chancellor, Prof Salami, was declared void. But how long are the students going to wait till the appointment of the new governing council.??

The Campaign was however managed by the Association of Campus Journalists, OAUIFE.
While some pleaded maturely on twitter with the Country's leaders others requested arrogantly as their stay at home is a waste of time.

The Campaign was made potent on  Facebook and Twitter platforms, The campaign became intense as the comrades and News Agencies of other Federal Universities Joined the campaign and pleaded for the resumption of their wounded brothers saying ,"An injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere".
But could it be a wasted effort, as the ministry of education is not even on twitter,
however, hopes was raised when Presidential Candidate, Remi Sonaiya tweeted,

"@oluremisonaiya I join in the #ReopenOAU campaign. We can't afford to take forever to resolve this crisis. Our students' lives & their education matter."

The senate President, Bukola Saraki(@ bukolasaraki) however responded to a student tweet yesterday morning,

"We resume tomorrow. We will look into it."

With crossed fingers we look forward to the outcome of the senate meeting today.
We all hope the Senate looks into the OAU crisis Today.
A luta continua, vitória é certa.
